The WindPower 2009 Expo/Conference in Chicago (May 4-7) was huge, and more expos are popping up everywhere in 2009 and 2010.
Many suppliers want to expand into the wind energy industry. To be able to do that, they need to make changes and upgrades in several areas. ESC -in cooperation with TQS- is offering a supplier development program to help them get ready. Because production volumes in the Wind Industry (OEMs) is low compare to other industries (e.g., Automotive), and because each component has to be almost perfect, the approach to quality is different. In wind, our needs are for a precious few, and . Wind Turbines are investment goods that need to operate reliably and continuously for more than 20 years.
